Add-On Endorsements
Individuals who possess a teaching license may add the institutional endorsements listed below by completing the appropriate program of study. For institutional endorsement add-ons, all courses must be taken at MUW, and no course substitutions are allowed. These programs are subject to continuous review by the Mississippi Department of Education and may be updated before the printing of the next catalog.

Endorsement 174: Reading (Grades K-12)
Endorsement 207: Gifted (Grades K-12)
Endorsement 221: Special Education (Mild/Moderate Disability) (Grades K-12)
Note
- Those who complete ED 523 , ED 524 , ED 527 & ED 564 may be recommended for the Add-On Endorsement 174: Reading (Grades K-12)
- Those who complete ED 516 , ED 517 , & ED 595 may be recommended for the Add-On Endorsement 207: Gifted (Grades K-12)
- Those who complete ED 538 , ED 548 , ED 554 & ED 555 may be recommended for the Add-On Endorsement 221: Special Education (Mild/Moderately Disabled) (Grades K-12), however evidence of passing the MS Foundations of Reading Test is also required.
