Prerequisite: PSY 101
Persuasion and social influence are some of the most basic and powerful functions of human interactions. This course covers psychological theories and concepts related to persuasion and social influence, including, but not limited to, social power, interpersonal influence, group influence, processing of persuasive messages, and perception of message sources. Students will be able to gain an understanding of basic theories of persuasion and social influence and learn how these theories can be applied in a variety of real-world settings, among other outcomes.
