BA Degree Requirements:

Foreign Language (one area - minimum of 6 hours at the 200-level or above) 

Major Courses:

(grade of C or better required)

• Select one of the following: (3 Semester Hours)

• POL 350 - Social Science Research Methods
• HIS 211 - Introduction to Historical Thinking and Research

•  

• Select four History Elective Courses: (12 Semester Hours) excluding HIS 101 -HIS 102  (can include HIS 211 ) must include 6 hours at the 300 level or above

• Select four Political Science Elective Courses: (12 Semester Hours) (can include POL 350 )

• Select four Economics, Geography, Philosophy, or Sociology Elective Courses: (12 Semester Hours) with at least two at the 300-level or above, and from at least three disciplines

Total major courses required: 36 Semester Hours

Total Hours Required for a BA in Social Sciences: 124 Semester Hours
