Purpose Statement
The College of Education and Human Sciences offers quality undergraduate programs in teacher education, human sciences and health & kinesiology. It also offers graduate programs in teacher education and health education. These programs serve one or more of four primary purposes: (1) provide courses necessary for teacher certification or licensure; (2) prepare students to enter graduate or professional schools; (3) serve the needs of the university general core; and (4) provide advanced professional programs. These purposes relate directly to Goal #1 in the university’s strategic plan, which is to “provide high quality instructional programs that are affordable, accessible and student centered.” The college also houses the Child and Parent Development Center.
