ED 411 - Methods & Materials in Language Arts

This course explores language development from infancy to age eight, focusing on emerging literacy. Students will examine theories of language acquisition, developmentally appropriate practices, and strategies to support diverse learners. Key topics include communication beginnings, literacy practices, instructional strategies, and practical literacy assessment. Emphasis is placed on integrating technology, utilizing appropriate  materials, and diverse, culturally relevant literature.
