HIS 410 - Methods and Materials in Secondary History and Social StudiesCredits: 3
Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education.
Required of students seeking teacher certification in social studies at the secondary level, with emphasis on the place of the social studies in secondary education; selection and analysis of aims and objectives; use of special techniques and methods; appraisal of techniques.
Note: This course does not fulfill the history requirement for the Social Sciences or History majors, but only the professional certificatioin requirement. Course requires 10 hours of field experience and successul completion of the course requires a final grade of “C” or higher.
