Mission Statement
The College of Business and Professional Studies at Mississippi University for Women provides quality programs in areas of business, culinary arts, and law. Through these specialized programs and highly qualified faculty, we aim to graduate the most competent professionals, who possess high ethical standards, critical thinking skills, and are poised for advancement in their respective fields. In the Department of Business, small class sizes and the implementation of current technologies, contribute to graduating skilled professionals with a profound understanding of national and global business issues. The Culinary Arts Institute offers instruction in a highly interactive environment through which students develop fundamental culinary skills, in addition to skills in communication and technology. In the Legal Studies Department, students gain an extensive knowledge of several fields of law and knowledge to enable them to perform detailed work, performing functions under the supervision of any attorney. The College of Business and Professional Studies supports Mississippi University for Women’s mission of education students in a diverse and inclusive environment and promoting research, scholarship, and creativity to enhance student development and achievement as a platform for lifelong education and growth.
