Payment of Fees

5.1 FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

An important part of every student’s educational experience is learning to manage money and to responsibly discharge the financial obligations one may incur. With this in mind, The W expects that you will promptly pay all University bills and accounts when due. Students who have not fulfilled their obligations to the University may not register for classes until all accounts are paid. The University reserves the right not to issue transcripts and letters of good standing to students who have not paid fees, tuition, traffic fines, library fines, etc.

For more information, contact the University Accounting Office, Welty Hall - Room 106, (662) 329-7210.

5.2 TUITION/FEE PAYMENT

Student account balance payments by cash, personal check or money order ONLY may be made at the University Accounting Office in Welty Hall, Room 106. Debit or credit card and e-check payments are made through Transact via WCONNECT. A 3% processing fee ($3.00 minimum) is charged for debit and credit card payments.  There is no fee charged for e-check payments. When applicable, financial aid funds are generally disbursed to pay a student’s account approximately two weeks after the start of classes, once attendance is verified.

5.3 PAYMENT PLANS

Mississippi University for Women offers payment plans for each semester (Fall or Spring - 4 payments each, Summer - 3 payments). This monthly payment option is an alternative to paying the total cost at the beginning of each semester. An enrollment fee of $50 per semester will apply.  Students may enroll and make payments to the plan through Transact via WCONNECT.
