The Executive Certificate in Health Care Management is a 12-semester hour program offered in the College of Business and Professional Studies and designed for small business owners, managers and staff in the health care industry, and individuals looking to enahance their skills in health care management. The health care field is a rapidly growing and changing environment. The health care field has changed and become more complex over the years mostly due to new technology, a growing litigious environment, and governmental regulation. Therefore, it has never been more important for a health care worker to have a strong understanding of core health care management issues. A college degree is not required to enroll in the certificate program. Nine of the 12 hours must be earned at Mississippi University for Women. All of the credits earned in the certificate can be applied toward a B.S. in Business Administration degree.
