NU 506L - Primary Care Management II Clinical

Credits: 4 (1:4.5)

270 clinical hours

Prerequisite: NU 501 /NU 503 /NU 503L /NU 505 /NU 505L /NU 513 /NU 521  Concurrent enrollment: NU 506 /NU 512 .

Provides learners with the nursing knowledge and competencies to manage common health problems and preventive services. The family nurse practitioner role is implemented with emphasis on the role dimensions of evaluator, case manager, consultant, and leader. Using a team approach, learners develop a management plan for identifying health-related problems. Clinical experiences are expanded to encompass a wider variety of primary care settings based on the student’s individual interests and needs. This course is repeatable.
