PSY 315 - Cognitive Psychology

Credits: 3

Prerequisite: PSY 101  and PSY 201  

Cognitive psychology is the scientific study of mental processes.  It focuses on three main aspects of knowledge: how knowledge is obtained, retained, and retrieved.  Topics include, but are not limited to, neural basis of cognition, attention, memory, decision-making, reasoning, intelligence, and consciousness.  This course will emphasize theoretical trends and research in the field of cognitive psychology.
