NU 351 - Clinical Practicum for NU 350 and NU 352

Credits: 4

180 clinical hours

Prerequisite: NU 300 , NU 301 , NU 325 , NU 328 , NU 329 , NU 330 . Concurrent enrollment: NU 350 , NU 352 , NU 355 NU 357 .

This course is designed to provide students with opportunities to gain knowledge and skills related to the care of individuals across the lifespan with chronic health problems as well as family centered care, including care of women, infants, and children. Emphasis is placed on health promotion and maintenance and disease prevention while using a developmental approach. Clinical experiences are designed to develop student skills while providing care to individuals and developing families across the lifespan with chronic health problems in a variety of healthcare settings.

Note: For each nursing course with an accompanying clinical course a grade of “C” or above is required in the theory course with a minimum grade of C in the associated clinical course in order to progress. If this does not occur, both the theory and the clinical course must be retaken together.
